Brenda began her real estate knowledge began when she was 12 years old helping her dad study for his Real Estate test. He became a successful Real Estate Agent. She began her own real estate career in 1992 when she joined a local title and escrow company as an account manager, later managing a large sales team. Her experience with title and escrow expanded her knowledge of the real estate business. After over 20 years, she decided to go out on her own and become an active real estate consultant. Her love of helping people and serving clients and friends has been the key to her success. She joined a top producing Real Estate team that over the last 10 years has sold over 1,000 properties in Northern California and is ranked in the top 10% in the field.
Her “client first” philosophy is putting the “real” back in Real Estate. This means being a good listener and a good communicator who responds quickly to her clients’ needs. Along with that, she values the qualities and skills that make an excellent real estate professional – integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, savvy marketing, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network.
Brenda is a wife and mother to 3 wonderful boys; she has a beautiful daughter in law, a darling granddaughter and grandson. She loves to cook, read, and spend time with family and friends.
The goal is to make your home as appealing as possible to the most potential buyers before photos of your home are taken. Staging your home can include anything from redecorating to rearranging furniture, cleaning, or other aesthetic strategies to present the home in the best possible light. You can do it yourself, have your real estate agent guide you, or hire a staging company.
In most cases, the buyer pays for the home inspection.
If someone is selling a home that needs repairs but chooses not to fix them, they may list a property as-is. Disclosures and inspections are typical steps in the process. In an as-is sale, a buyer willingly purchases the home in its current state with full knowledge of its condition.
When selling a property, it is incumbent upon the seller to disclose any details about the home that might negatively affect its value.
Factors such as the time of year and market conditions play a big role in how quickly a property sells. How you price, market, and stage your home are also very important variables that will affect how long a home remains on the market.
Any fixture that is ‘attached’ or built into the house typically remains. For example, if your house has built-in bookshelves, they typically stay with the house. The same is true of kitchen or bathroom fixtures and fireplaces. Exceptions and details can be discussed during the negotiation process.
Many factors alter the housing market, but understanding what to expect and being prepared beforehand can make buying and selling a property possible at the same time.
Choosing an agent is perhaps the most important decision in the buying or selling process.
I am confident that I provide an unsurpassed level of service and professionalism that comes from over 12 years as a full-time agent and well over $500M in successfully closed transactions.
